giovannaguevara.net is my personal portfolio site. I log visitors’ referring sites, if any, and pages clicked for strict visitor counts. I do NOT log time, IP, geo-data, OS information, not set cookies or pixel-trackers to track navigation across site, or after visiting this site to other sites. Information stored in cookies on your browser is detailed below.
Comments
I do not collect any data to protect your privacy.
When you leave a comment, the information you provide is saved – I use this information to ensure it’s a human not a bot, but do not share your information with anyone else. I have no database of inquires other than my inbox.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, WordPress automatically set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Embedded content from other websites
An article on this site includes embedded content from Tableau, a business intelligence tool (embedded Tableau dashboard on the Warehouse page). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. Tableau is a Salesforce product, and this is their shared Privacy Policy.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
No one. I do not share this information, nor do I compile it other than to track unique visitor counts, and to respond to a contact via user/visitor initiated content.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
What rights you have over your data
I will provide a copy of the data you shared with me via contact-form submission.
I reiterate that I do not keep any user data other than contact information via contact-form that is directly e-mailed to me, so in essence the information shared by sending me an email. I use kaptcha in the Contact Me form to prevent spam and other abuse, but do not save or use that information for any other purpose.

Where we send your data
I use hCaptcha for spam/ bot abuse prevention, but no information is shared via that service provider. All comments on blogs are held for moderator approval, so that information goes the site admin, me. Please advise if you would like me to delete any information.
